Penggunaan Media Monopoly Accounting Game Dalam Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar Dan Karakter Jujur
Abstract
Accounting is a field which is fully with value of honesty. Therefore, the learning should
facilitate the building of honesty character and focus more on students’ learning activities.
However, it is apparent that the effort to build characters of honesty in teaching process and
students’ learning activities at SMAK 1 BPK PENABUR Bandung is still low. The study is aimed
at investigating the influence of the use of monopoly accounting game as a media for student
learning activities and on honesty character.
The method used in this research is quasy-experiment with non equivalent control group
design. The testing tools are assessment on students’ honesty and learning activities. T-test is
employed to test the difference of attitude in the experiment classes in which monopoly accounting
game is applied and the control classes which uses standard exercise media and both the
experiment and control classes.
The result indicates that first, there is difference in honesty character prior to and after
the use of monopoly accounting game. Second, in learning with standard exercise media, there is
no difference in honesty character before and after learning. Third, the increase of honesty in
classes that use monopoly accounting game is higher than in classes that use standard exercise.
Fourth, the level of learning activity in experiment class after using monopoly accounting game is
higher than that in control class which used standard exercise.
